Chippewa Hills Pathway offers the greatest elevation change for hiking and biking in Northeast Michigan. Multiple loops provide options for families, MTB single-track, and nature enthusiasts.

The trail system known locally as “Chip,”offers a challenging terrain. Over 14-miles of hilly, heavily wooded landscape await you on this trail. Enjoy a quiet walk, single-track bike trails or take your skis or snowshoes out in the winter months.
The annual Chippewa Hills Mountain Bike Race occurs at the pathway each September.
This DNR Pathway is groomed by Thunder Bay Trails Association for the enjoyment of all. Map markers are located throughout the trail system.
