TOPS offers tools and programs for healthy living and weight management, with exceptional group fellowship, support and recognition. Meetings are every Tuesday. Freedom From Smoking @ MidMichigan Medical Center

The American Lung Association’s Freedom From Smoking® program is a proven way to quit smoking and stay quit, even if you have tried quitting before. Join us for a FREE, eight session, group workshop led by American Lung Association trained facilitators. This program will provide the tools to help you develop a plan for quitting and living a smoke-free life. This program is for current smokers and tobacco users, ages 18 years old and older.

Michigan Divided Documentary Screening

The Michigan Truth Tour is a statewide roadshow, put on by Bridge Magazine, attempting to ground the upcoming state election in fact and discussion of the state’s most important issues.

You are invited to attenda screening of Michigan Divided, a documentary exploring political divisions in the state.

Bridge Magazine,is also bringing their mobile news room to Culligan Plaza in Downtown Alpena from 1:00-5:00 p.m. Stop byto get a free voting issues guide and a toolkit on finding and fighting fake news, play some citizenship games, pet Truth Dog, and walk away with some free swag!

The Michigan Truth Tour plans up to 100 stops across the state from April through Election Day in November. The Center for Michigan is partnering with community leaders to hold town hall meetings and documentary screenings, discuss substantive local and state issues, distribute Michigan Facts & Issue Guides, give you an opportunity to meet spokespuppy Truth Dog, profile communities in Bridge, and cover and fact-check prominent campaign events in your area.
