500 W. Fletcher St.
Alpena, MI 49707
The Great Lakes Maritime Heritage Center is continuing its special monthly programming from Detroit Public TV’s Great Lakes Now Series. The first three Saturdays in January, the Thunder Bay National Marine Sanctuary will present free showings of each half-hour show. Launched in April 2019, the Great Lakes Now program is produced in collaboration with public television stations and other media outlets. Don’t miss these great stories about our Great Lakes and their rich maritime history.
In this segment of Great Lakes Now, check out ice climbing along the northern Great Lakes, learn about a controversial wind energy project on Lake Erie, and The Catch offers news from around the Great Lakes.
This event is free and open to the public.
