Cruise Ship Services
A port visit to Alpena is a refreshing option for your cruise guests. Let us help with your planning needs! All of the logistical requirements can be handled in partnership with the Alpena Area Convention & Visitors Bureau. We are here to serve as your local liaison throughout the planning process.
Many varieties of passenger welcome receptions can be arranged, including live music and local information, friendly and knowledgeable volunteers to greet each passenger, and coordination of transportation for excursion options. Citizens of the community often gather along the dock area to excitedly wave the ship to shore. Any request you have for your passenger reception will be considered.
From here passengers embark on one of their pre-selected excursion choices. The Alpena Area Convention & Visitors Bureau staff work with planning coordinators to formulate appropriate excursion options and provide information, local contacts, and any other needs to ensure passengers have an enjoyable experience.
All excursion logistics can be handled by the Bureau office in Alpena to ensure seamless integration with ship-side planning coordinators.
Crew and Ship
Representatives from the City of Alpena municipal services can be engaged to help the ship with docking, water exchange, trash removal, and other operations logistics. These can be arranged by the Bureau, if not already ordered.
Volunteers to assist the crew with errands can also be arranged.
The Bureau staff coordinate with cruise company staff to facilitate each scheduled trip to assure itineraries are in order and each experience is rewarding and memorable for passengers and crew alike.
