Alpena Symphony Orchestra Spring Gala

Plan to attend the “Spring Gala” concert performed by the Alpena Symphony Orchestra on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at 7:30 PM. This performance will be held at the Alpena High School Auditorium, 3303 S. Third Ave., Alpena. The orchestra will be under the direction of maestro Jim VanEizenga, Director of Orchestras for Novi High School, Novi, MI. The varied and interesting program for this concert is: Edward Elgar’s “Serenade for Strings”; “Romanian Folk Dances” by Bela Bartok; the romantic “Intermezzo” from “Cavalleria Rusticana” by Pietro Mascagni and “Symphony No. 3 in D Major” by Franz Schubert.
