Battle of the Paddles is back – and you should join us!

Events:

• 3K Paddleboard/SUP Race
• Solo Kayak & Canoe Race

Course:

Both races are on the Thunder Bay River and start at the Rotary Bridge

Equipment:

All racers need to bring paddleboard, kayak, or canoe; paddle; and PFD (personal flotation device) type III. Single blade paddles only for SUPs (stand up paddleboards).

Awards:

Special awards in both divisions for overall male and female winners in following age classes: under 16, 17-25, 26-39, 40-60, 60 and over

Registration:

Complete registration by mail. Print form and mail back with entry fee to Dork Brothers, P.O. Box 301, Alpena, MI 49707.

Cost:

Entries in by 8/1/25 – $5 for students, $10 for adults
Entries after 8/1/25 – $10 for students, $15 for adults

Viewing Party:

The rooftop deck of the Great Lakes Maritime Heritage Center will be open during the race with wine and beer available for purchase. The awards ceremony will take place there as well.
