Besser Chorus

Selections will have a wide variety aimed at pleasing you whatever your musical taste may be. They range from classical, patriotic, and sacred numbers to Broadway hits, spiritual, ultra-modern songs, and novelty bits

Besser Chorus is a men’s chorus that performs for the enjoyment of the community and each member.

Besser Chorus’ first rehearsal was held March 8, 1947. Organized as a part of the Besser Company’s employee recreational program, there were twelve singers, all Besser employees. Due to the demands for its services and the desire for a better vocal balance, membership was thrown open to any male singer in the area whose love of
singing, ability, and willingness to attend the weekly rehearsals regularly qualified him. Under these arrangements the membership grew to approximately 27, its present membership. The intervening years have been good; the Chorus has established a state-wide reputation and has traveled many thousands of miles, by car, chartered bus and plane to sing at national and state conventions and occasions.
