“Howling Loons” is the DDA’s second Fresh Waves mural of 2025. Located on the Thunder Bay River, this colorful piece pays tribute to one of Northeast Michigan’s favorite birds. The artist inspiration from the natural world, his travels, and a deep curiosity for all things around him. His process is playful and imaginative, and he is driven more by exploration of colors, shapes, and techniques than by conveying a specific meaning.
