River and Fur Vault Murals

The first mural depicts the Thunder Bay River’s edge in the 1880s. The second mural on the “fur vault” reflects Alpena’s history generally. Painted by Steve Witucki, it si the result of a design contest involving Sam Machulis and his Thunder Bay Junior High students and winning design by Curis Merrill. (2005)

Located in the back of Shoreline Wesleyan Church.
